A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Dear Parents and Carers,

First Holy Communion

Congratulations to Lily Brown, Marshal Cook, Daniella Cortis & Archie McNamee for receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion for the first time last Sunday. Thanks also to Dani’s mum Michelle and her grandma for baking the special cake and providing the delicious morning tea.

Kindness Corner

I enjoy watching our students be the best version of themselves. Last week I particularly noticed Joel Morris being kind to his team mates whilst playing soccer and footy tennis. Joel, while competitive, still shares the ball fairly and encourages the younger students to be involved. Thanks Joel. You make our school a better place!

NAIDOC Week Celebrations

Next Thursday 30th June, we will hold NAIDOC Week celebrations as a school. We celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The theme for 2022 is “Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! The theme is about the desire to change the relationship between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-indigenous Australians to one that is based on justice and equity.

All families (indigenous and non indigenous) are invited to attend a liturgy at 11.30am (under the sails), followed by creative workshop rotations. The students will be in Colour House groups so family members can move to the activties together. Mrs Rheinberger and Miss Allan have organised a special cake and sausage sizzle lunch for students and family members. To assist with catering can you please complete the google form attached here:

Athletics Carnival this Friday

I look forward to seeing many parents and grandparents at our school athletics carnival this Friday at Longfield Oval.
