Junior School

Welcome Back

Welcome back to our final term for the year. The boys have returned and are enthusiastically looking forward to their last term, which promises to be a busy one. Please keep the Term 4 calendar (which will be emailed shortly) in a prominent place and take note of the many special events that are happening this term.

Staff

This week we welcomed Mr Tony Maxfield back, as he has resumed his role in 5 Green after a period of long service leave. Mr Luke Thompson is taking a period of long service leave for this term. In his place we have welcomed Mr Callum Walley as our Junior School Phys-ed teacher and as 6 Green teacher for Wednesday to Friday.

Summer Sport

We were straight into our summer sport’s training this week and enjoyed a great competition against Christ Church on Thursday. Well done to all the boys who put in such a great start to our fixtures.

Katich Moody Shield Competition

Next week our sport’s fixtures will be against Guildford. Our 'A' cricketers will also be involved in the annual Katich Moody Shield and we wish our boys well in their endeavours.

Senior School Presentation Night

Senior School Presentation Night will be on Tuesday, 18 October.  While this is a normal day for Junior School, there will be no after school Homework Club in the Senior Library on that day.

Junior School Ethics Olympiad

Last term some of our Junior School boys participated in an Ethics Olympiad. A big congratulations to Cash Allen, Thomas Batten, Frederick Brockett, Joel Murabito, and Nicholas Pritchard who were the winners of this competition.  Thanks to Mrs Ricki Boe for enabling this competition and supporting the boys. The boys were presented with their medals at assembly today.

Important Reminders

At the beginning of a new Semester, it is timely to remind boys and parents of some procedural information. For the safety of all our boys, drop-offs and pick-ups should either be at the Junior School or, if you are driving through, please use the drop-off point near the round-about. Please avoid dropping-off or picking-up in the staff carpark or across the crosswalks or parking in no-standing zones.

Boys are also reminded to order lunches before school. This can be done online for your convenience, or the boys can order in person from 8:00 am.

As per the Acceptable Use Agreement signed before devices are distributed, boys are asked to come to school with their devices fully charged and to keep their chargers at home.  Some boys may need reminders about this.

A reminder also that our Behaviour Management procedures have been modified and the demerit system is once again in use.
