Angela Ryan Competes in Northern Country Team
Last Wednesday, Year 11 student Angela Ryan, playing as Hooker, represented the College with the Northern Country U16’s Girls Rugby League Squad at St Mary’s Stadium in Sydney. The girls also attended a training session at the NSW Blues Centre of Excellence, Homebush with the NSWRL on Tuesday. Angela and the rest of the team were the first 20 girls to wear the Northern Country Jersey for an U16 Girls Squad. Winning 2 out of 3 games, and even though not being selected to progress to the next level it was a very rewarding experience and an eye opener to try out for the u18’s Northern Country squad next year. Well done to all those involved.
Breanna and Mackenzi represent NSW
Breanna and Mackenzi Naden have recently returned from Darwin where they played for NSW in the National Indigenous Tennis Carnival (NITC).
"Celebrating the cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through tennis, the NITC culminates a focus on culture, community, sport, education and wellbeing over four days." (Tennis NSW).
For more information about the National Carnival, Tennis NSW have produced this great video.

One of the largest athletics teams for many years traveled to Tamworth on Friday to the Tamworth Regional Athletics Centre. The Centre features an olympic grade athletics track. A full report will be made available in next fortnight's newsletter but until then, here are some photos from the day.
