District Cross Country

Congratulations to all of our incredible cross country runners! On Wednesday 8th May, our team of 61 students competed against six other schools at the District Cross Country event, held at Eltham Lower Park. It was a terrific, sunny day for most of the day’s races, dumping down some heavy rain on the crowd in the final two races - Cross Country running, true to form!

So many huge achievements on the day with many of our children participating for the first time. Our students should not only be so very proud of putting in their own personal bests, but for also demonstrating a strong commitment to the entire team as they encouraged, cheered and comforted each other through all of the highs and lows that come with competition. Their positive participation and spirit was noted on many fronts.

We also congratulate all of our team members who finished in the top ten for their age group, as they will go on to compete at the Division level in a few weeks time. The Division Cross Country Championships will take place on Wednesday 5th May at Bundoora Park (further details will be provided within a Care Monkey message to all competitors). They include:
