College Sport

Senior Sport

Our Senior Boys Footy and Senior Girls Netball teams competed in the division finals.  Whilst the weather wasn’t ideal, it didn’t effect the results, with all teams winning and advancing through to the SMR finals, which take place in term 3.

The final results were:

Girls Netball (A) - first

Girls Netball (B) - First

Boys AFL - First

Premier League

Our girls took on Seda College ic in game two of the AFL Premier League Competition at Alexandra Park.

After a close first quarter, SEDA got on top in the second and had a handy lead at half time. Our girls rallied hard in the second half to try and close the buffer, however weren’t able to make up the difference, despite never giving up!

FINAL SCORES

MSC | 3.4 (22)

SEDA | 9.12 (66)

Thanks to the many parents and supporters who came down to support the girls, and once again to the @mfncbulldogs for hosting us.

Game 3 vs Maribyrnong was to be played on Tuesday June 1st but has been postponed.

Division Athletics

On 29th April our Athletics Team (all 96 of them) who competed in the Southern Peninsula Division Athletics Championships at Ballam Park.

Our students had a fantastic day out and represented the college with pride, finishing second overall!

We had a large number of place getters and look forward to taking our team out to the Regional Championships in term 4.

Aerobics Regional Finals Success

Our Year 7 Aerobics Team have worked so hard this year and given that most of them have little to no dance or performance experience, they should all be extremely proud of what they achieved at the Regional Finals.

MSC Dynamic and Dynamite came 5th and 6th, respectively, and have been invited to compete in the upcoming online Winter Challenge which is a really exciting opportunity and another chance to shine on stage.

MSC Dynamos managed to secure second place with a massive score of 80 points which has qualifed them for the State Finals.

Our Senior team, MSC Dynasty, which consists  of Year 11 and Year 9 students absolutely smashed it!  They scored a whopping 90 points which  is the highest score in that section across the whole country!!  An incredible effort and a testament to their hard work and dedication, as well as that of Year 11 student, Amy Salter, who has helped to coach them over the past few weeks while I was preparing the Year 7 teams for the competition.

We also had two soloists qualify for State Finals (Year 11 Poppy Howarth and 2020 graduate, Mandi Inglis) who were choreographed and coached by, Jasmine Tostovrsnik who graduated in 2019.

Myself and the other ”Old School” members of the Dream Team were also also coached by Jasmine and qualified for States as well with a score of 88.3.

A huge thank you to assistant coaches, Rachel Sullivan and Kate Atkinson for all of their help leading up to the comp and their support at the event.

SMR Champions

Our Year 7 Boys Tennis Team hit the court in the Southern Metropolitan Regional Championships. After winning their way through to the final after three tough round robin games, the boys rallied to be crowned CHAMPIONS!!  Next stop is the state championships in November!

Well done boys, the MSC community is very proud of you

Cross Country

Congratulations to the students who competed in our MSC Cross Country.  We had a huge number of students from year 7-12 who competed and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
