A team of over 35 Year 12 VCAL students and staff attended the Mornington Running Festival over the weekend to raise funds for 'Beyond Blue'.  In what was a beautiful morning to get out and be active, our students wore the MSC colours with pride and competed in the 5km, 10km and 21km events.

Some notable achievements were:

Hamish Harper who ran 5km in 20 minutes, followed closely by Harry Morrison Woolcock and Brendan Gundry.

Michael Walker ran 10km in 61 minutes and Kale Nixon ran 21km in 2hours and 10 minutes.

Our superstar Science, PE and Health teacher, Mrs Dixon, ran the women’s half marathon in 1 hour and 40 mins, finishing second in her category!

Everyone received a finisher’s medal and a certificate of their time as well as a delicious hot jam donut.

Well done to everyone involved in getting in the spirit of a community event like this!!
