Seek Justice

City to Surf.

Year 9 girls from the Rite Journey Classes volunteered to support the Chevron City to Surf on Sun 27 August.

They very capably organised a water station for the Marathon and Half Marathon runners and provided the participants with a lot of support and encouragement.

Pilgrimage Fundraising.

Many thanks to all the staff and families who have supported the Pilgrimage Fundraising.

We have raised more than $23,000 for our Pilgrimage partners. The funds will be used to support health and education programs, micro-finance initiatives, building programs and cultural awareness projects in India, Cambodia, Timor Leste and Beswick in the Northern Territory.

Refugee Support

On Migrant and Refugee Sunday, 27 August 27, it was announced by the Federal government that around 100 asylum seekers, brought to Australia for medical reasons, were to have their income support stopped and their government supported accommodation vacated in three weeks. This is the first group and it is likely an additional 400, including 37 babies and 60 children, will receive similar treatment.
