PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Another Big Year

It has been another extremely busy and productive year for McClelland College. We have had some excellent results as a college including our Year 12 results (see below) and our NAPLAN maths and reading results. We have also had some fantastic individual and team sporting performances. The planning for the building project this year will also make for some exciting times ahead and some great opportunities for our college. We are also extremely pleased to be increasing our Year 7 enrolments from 6 classes this year to 9 classes in 2018.

Year 12 VCE and VCAL results

We are very pleased to announce our fantastic VCE and VCAL results for the 2017 cohort. This includes:

  • Our VCE median result increasing from 27 last year to 29
  • Our College VCE Dux, Chloe Chilvers, achieving an ATAR score of 95.65
  • Our percentage of study scores of 40 or above also increasing to 3.9%
  • Our enrolments in VCAL increasing this year and so too did our percentage of VCAL units completed

We are extremely proud of our 2017 cohort and wish them the best of luck in their chosen pathways. I would also take this opportunity to thank all staff who have had an involvement with this cohort over their 6 years of secondary schooling.

Awards Evening

On Tuesday evening, we had our awards evening that acknowledged and rewarded students for their academic achievements and efforts this year. As part of this awards night we were excited to distribute a range of Tertiary Studies Headstart Scholarships to our VCE students which is a reflection of the excellent results they achieved this year. Thank you to all of the staff, students and parents who attended the evening and congratulations to all recipients of the awards.
