2021 HSC Music Examinations

NESA has been working closely with the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC), NSW Health, relevant agencies and the school sectors to ensure the HSC continues to operate in the safest way possible in the COVID-19 environment.

They are updating their advice for HSC students as the current situation evolves and in line with NSW Health advice.

As of Tuesday, 10th August, NESA has advised that, teachers will provide marks for their students’ HSC Music performance exams to limit the movement of NESA markers within or outside Greater Sydney. This will be beneficial for all students.

Performance exams will be organised by individual schools.

NESA will provide schools with guidelines and marking support packs

• Teachers will provide marks for: Music Performance (all courses)
• Music Viva Voce (Music 1)
• Sight singing (Music 2)

MUSIC Co-Curricular

Mrs Cooney and I are hoping that students are finding plenty of time to practise their  musical instruments during this extended lockdown. Students who require copies of the music for the various ensembles are encourage to email us and we will ensure your receive a scanned copy of your part as soon as possible.

Applications to audition for SYO in 2022 are open

HSC Trial Performance Examination: Friday, 20th August (Individual performance times will be communicated with students shortly)

HSC Trial Aural and Musicology:  Friday, 27th August

Music Submitted Works Completion and hand-in date:  Monday, 13th September
