BMGS Wellness Wednesdays

Studies from the UK and Victoria show time in extended learning from home means students and staff will benefit from a renewed wellbeing focus at this time. Regular time away from screens and more ways to connect with students, staff, families and their local community are crucial.

We have decided to run Wednesday afternoons off screen. Students will be encouraged to focus on health and wellbeing during this time.

How will this work? Students will be asked to complete an hour of off-screen activity for five points. Activities can include physical activities that correspond to all the sports that BMGS plays in the BMGS Sport classroom on Google classroom, reading, cooking, knitting, hiking, riding a bike and others or may even include some of the ideas below.

House Points

Students will be required to keep a log book of any activity they do. This needs to be signed off by a parent and tutor before points will be allocated.

Students will be encouraged to take photos and share them with their tutor group.

Step 1:   Find an activity you would like to complete.

Step 2:   Complete the activity

Step 3:   Log your activity and points on your log sheet

Step 4:   Hand in your log sheet to you tutor once a week

Step 5:   Your tutor will record your points every week

Step 6:  YourHead of House will collate Tutor points
