Koi te Hinengaro - A Healthy Mind requires we start believing in ourselves.

Read this parable, set yourself a goal, and break the chains.

There was a man in Africa on safari who saw a group of captive elephants, each with a rope tied to their ankle.

He was confused. They were gigantic creatures, some being over 6,500 kilos…

Yet they were being held in place not with chains or cages–– but with ropes tied to stakes that were driven into the ground.

The man asked the elephant trainer, “Why don’t the elephants break free?”

The elephant trainer replied:

“When they were very young and much smaller we used the same ropes to tie them. At that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”

The elephants were all physically capable of breaking free, but remained in captivity due to their self-limiting beliefs.

They didn’t believe they could break free, so they never tried.

So my question for you is…

What do you believe you cannot do?

What mental ropes are holding you back from your dreams?

The truth is that you can do whatever you want to do. You really can.

And if you started living your life like you believed this, the impact you’d create would be more powerful than you could ever imagine.

So, why not start today?

If you see yourself in the elephants at all–– maybe you want to free yourself from your current situation, job, mindset, attitude - then consider this, maybe it’s time to break free.
