New Adventure – St Augustines News

Term 4 week 4

During the past 2 weeks at BSC/ASC, we have explored the countries and cultures that make up our world!! 

Week 3 we made mini-Pyramids, Sarcophagus and Pharoah Jewelry in ancient Egypt 

, created traditional South African musical instruments, and went on a Safari 

, built the Eiffel Tower, and decorated Bastille Day cupcakes in France got active with skipping ropes and sports in England then finished the week with the Mexican festival 'Day of the Dead', designing masks and weaving the God Eye! 

Week 4 we travelled to India to celebrate Diwali, making flower lamps, henna hands, and chalk rangoli in Russia we explored Cossack dancing, Nesting dolls, and traditional architecture we made spaghetti meatballs and watermelon pizzas in Italy and engaged in origami to create planes and sushi, played otedama in Japan 

, and ended the week by celebrating Halloween in the USA

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 2023

• For those who are already planning for January – Vacation Care will run from the 9th to the 27th January. Look out for our New Prep special days where our 2023 preps are very welcome to come and join us at Vacation Care and meet some new friends.
• Vacation care bookings will open via Hubhello on Friday 25th November as the January holidays are so busy we recommend booking early.
• New Preps will receive their enrolment packs during orientation in November.

All children need to re-enroll for 2023. Forms will go out to families the first week in November
