Diocesan Rugby Trials

I accompanied Charles Lee, Cooper Marheine and Will Bartholomew to the Armidale Diocesan Rugby Trails in Tamworth yesterday. Over 95 boys trialed for a spot in in the Diocesan team that will compete at the NSW Catholic Primary Schools Rugby Championships in Forbes on the 21st June. The boys were placed in a small schools team with Walgett and Manilla students and they played with excellent team spirit and sportsmanship. Will was successful in gaining selection in the Armidale Diocesan Representative Team. It was a great day and I congratulate all the boys on their efforts.

Dates to Remember:

Diocesan Cricket Trials: will be held on Friday the 4th June in Tamworth for Year 5 and 6 students.  Notes have been sent home with interested students.

Soccer Gala Day - a fun filled day of soccer is on offer for our primary students at the Diocesan Gala Day in Inverell on Friday the 11th of June. We currently have enough entries to send 2 teams on the day. Thank you to all the parents who have offered their carpooling services. I will be sending permission notes and more information out this week.

Additional Tennis sessions for Primary Students

We have been very fortunate to secure 2 additional tennis sessions with Mitch Power for our Years 3/4/5/6 students.  These students will travel by bus, to and from the Milner St Tennis courts on the 2nd and 9th of June from 12pm to 1pm to participate in extra sessions and hopefully a mini comp as well.  A permission note has gone home with students today. In order to put together a program for these 2 days, we need permission notes to be returned by Friday the 28th of May. There is no cost associated with this event.
