Ensembles & Groups Concert
On Thursday 15th July the college held its first evening Instrumental Music Concert in almost a year and a half and it proved to be worth the wait. The college Performing Arts Centre was packed once again and it was fantastic to see an abundance of support from parents, relatives, friends and also a number of staff members in the audience.
The evening began with a series of ensemble performances ranging from the Violin & Keyboard ensemble, Vocal ensemble/choir, Guitar ensemble, Drums ensemble and also the school Stage Band. These were followed by a year 10 and VCE rock/pop groups, a few solo performances and also a VCE duo.
Congratulations to all the students that performed throughout the evening as all their hard work and endless hours of practise throughout the year was evident within their performances. The concert ran very smoothly as students were aware of the processes involved when setting up a stage for a whole ensemble. Students showed poise, composure and plenty of confidence from the moment they entered the stage, set themselves up and all the way to the end of their performances.
I’d also like to thank all our dedicated Instrumental Music staff for their amazing efforts in preparing their students throughout the year for evenings such as this. It makes us all proud to see the huge progress our students have made throughout the year. Well done.

Lunchtime Concerts
This year my school Taylors Lakes Secondary College has been setting up lunchtime concerts every few weeks. It’s great to watch people perform and it is a great opportunity for me to perform for the school. It was so exciting to perform and the atmosphere was enlightening. I will definitely be performing again in the future.
