Boy’s  A’s Speedaway defeats Pennant Hills in grand final

The Boy’s Speedaway A’s traveled to Pennant Hills High School for the grand final of the grade Spring Speedaway competition on Thursday. In a closely contested match, against the home side, the Killara High School boys showed tremendous courage coming away with the trophy.

The game started with Killara High School going into a slight early lead, but the Pennant Hills team clawed their way back in the first half. The teams went into the halftime break 14-14.

In the second half, Pennant Hills dominated early down the left side and went ahead 15-14. Killara High School reorganised and tightened up their marking. Pennant Hills were unlucky not to go further ahead but the loss of possession in our defensive third was their downfall.  Some tighter marking by the Killara High School  midfield and a triple by Man of the Match Adam J (AJ) sealed the outcome with Killara High School  coming away with the trophy.

Team: Ben K (C), Kyan Fl (C), Zac B, Adam J, Lachlan, Oscar LF, Fintan M, Brayden M,

Zach N, Dhir S, Abi S, Cameron T, Andrey Y Liam W.

10PASS Beach Day Out

On Tuesday November 15, Year 10PASS took part in an excursion to Collaroy Beach and Narrabeen Lake.

We were lucky to have amazing conditions on the day, and students thoroughly enjoyed their surfing lesson at Collaroy. Manly Surf School offered both surfing and bodyboarding, and all students, no matter their skill level, were able to learn new skills and enjoy the experience. Students also had the opportunity to walk to Long Reef Headland and take in the beauty of the Northern Beaches. This was the perfect time to enjoy nature, whilst building relationships through meaningful conversation. At Narrabeen Lake, 10PASS participated in a kayaking and paddle board lesson with Prokayaks. The lake conditions were perfect, and students enjoyed the accessible nature of the activity.

The beach day out was a wonderful way to spend the day and celebrate two years of learning in PASS.
