2022/2023 Student Leadership Council

On the morning of Thursday 10th November 2022, we welcomed families and friends to our Kerrabee Hall to join in celebrating the Killara High School Leadership Induction Ceremony. We inducted our newly elected 2022/2033 Student Leadership Council students. Leadership council students ranged from Year 7 to Year 11, representing the Social Justice Committee, Student Representative Council, Arts Council, Sports Council and Prefects. It was a poignant celebration, chaired by our new School Captains, Mischa W and Filip G, as our students leaders made their Pledge of Office. 

We extended our thanks to our dedicated Leadership Council Coordinating Teachers, Mr Duncan Smith (Sports Council), Ms Jacqueline Berry (Arts Council), Miss Sarah Saliba (SJC), Ms Jenny Newell (SRC) and Ms Chloe Williams (Prefect) for their care and support for the initiatives our leadership students and their councils will be leading around our school in 2023. We also thank Mr Robin Chand for his inspirational keynote speech, and to the Hospitality students and their teachers, Ms Tracy Mackenzie, Mrs Elizabeth Allcott, Ms Shannon Olivey and Mr Simon Harper, for the amazing and delicious morning tea they cooked and served up. We also wish to acknowledge all the students who nominated themselves to run for leadership roles for 2023.
