Music - Week 36

Week 7 Performances

Congratulations to John XXIII College musicians for the outstanding performances this week. On Tuesday we celebrated the inaugural Montgomery Christmas Concert with the Chamber Orchestra, Christmas Band, Flute Ensemble and Brass Ensemble, performing to residents of Montgomery House and an audience of parents and guests. Wednesday featured fantastic performances by the Combined Choir and Chamber Choir, with accompaniment by the Senior String Quintet and featured soloists.

A terrific week of music at and, around the College!

Year 9 Musical

This Thursday 5 December at 7:30pm, the Year 9 Music Theatre class will present Seussical: The Musical in Roncalli Hall! Based on the weird and wacky works of Dr Seuss, this short musical is presented entirely in song and rhyme. Will Horton be able to save the Whos of Whoville? Will Gertrude ever get someone to notice her, with only a one-feather tail? Can Jojo think her way out of an unthinkable spot? Oh, the thinks you can think, when you think about Seuss!

Featuring a live band and an incredible cast of Year 9s, this free event is not to be missed!
