GROWING TOGETHER

HERO WEEK

Hello hello!

HERO OF THE WEEK NUMBER ONE - Kenny the mulch man.

What a performance by Kenny. He literally dropped off a truckload of mulch! The Go-Go Gophers were pinged out to spread it along with our much-loved garden crew (angels and gurus). The renovations on the animal enclosures continue with the mulch being added.

HEROES OF THE WEEK NUMBER TWO - Elizabeth and Mrs Martin.

In animal news, it looks like we will be getting five guinea pigs before the school holidays. The enclosure has been completely revamped and we are all anticipating their arrival. Elizabeth and Mrs. Martin are kindly donating them.

HERO OF THE WEEK NUMBER THREE - Rocky Balboa AKA the worlds toughest finch.

The disappearing finch mystery appears to be solved. The toughest finch in the world Rocky Balboa has been guarding the aviary 24/7 and has reported back that rats are entering the pen when the other finches are sleeping and eating them. We will now revamp the enclosure to make sure the finches will now be safe.

HEROES OF THE WEEK NUMBER FOUR - Our trusty trim team.

Our trusty trim team was happily trimming and chatting away and just happened to mention their love for the Eastern Blue Tongued Lizard. It just so happens we need some so they have been busily researching where they can be purchased and cost. A fundraiser looks on the cards so watch this space.

HERO OF THE WEEK NUMBER FIVE - Mrs. Drum and our world-famous craft crew. Word went out that we needed some colour around the garden and the creative Mrs. Drum and our world-famous craft crew have come to the rescue. We can’t wait to see the finished product. Ken Done would be proud!

OTHER HEROES - It would be remiss of me not to mention Patrick (and friends) our frog whisperer who caught a gecko and released it into our reptile enclosure with some of his friends.

Our Prep children planted out their new garden planter boxes with herb, vegetable, and flower seeds. They’ve been watered and we now wait to see what will grow. Many green thumbs in the making. Heroic effort preps well done.

FOREVER HEROES - Our hard-working Animal Angels and Garden Gurus for without the people the garden sanctuary would not be alive with such joyful spirit. They make our garden space a very special place.

DONATIONS REQUIRED PLEASE - Blue tongue lizards

May you be well and happy 🌻❤️🙏
