Water Colour Paintings

Take a look at some of the amazing water colour paintings from our talented grade six students (6JO).

The focus of our art lessons was to paint the same street scene more than once, using lots of different colours, with the painting style of Vincent Van Gogh. 

The challenge was to try and convey the time of day and the weather conditions, through the choice of colour combinations and the application of paint.

All students excelled at the challenge and seemed to really enjoy painting with lots of colour while applying thick bold brush strokes like Van Gogh. 

Students spent time mixing and layering different shades, experimenting with different colour combinations to create some beautiful and striking works. 

Well-done to all the grade 5&6 students, I am so very proud of all your efforts!
