House Cross Country

Plans are well under way for the House Cross Country being held at Koonung Creek Reserve (Kosciusko Road, Balwyn North) on Wednesday 18th March. Please make sure that your child is practicing for their event.

District Swimming Carnival

On Monday 24th February, 26 students from Years 3 - 6 competed in the North Balwyn District Swimming Carnival at Boroondara Sports Complex. These students were selected for the team after the school trials held earlier in the term.

 

Here are the students who finished top 4 in an event on the day.

As a result of winning the 12/13 breaststroke, Raff then went on to compete in the Boroondara Division event on Tuesday 3rd March where he finished 2nd! He has now progressed through to Eastern Region on Friday 13th March. Good luck Raff!

 

Year 5/6 Summer Sport Program

Here are the results from our most recent Interschool Sport fixtures against St Bedes PS (21/2) and St Clements of Rome PS (28/2):

  • Boys Volleyball won 2 – 1
  • Girls Volleyball won 2 – 0
  • Boys Cricket lost 138 – 128
  • Boys European Handball won 36 – 0
  • Girls European Handball won 15 – 9
  • Boys Hots Shots Tennis won 12 – 1
  • Boys Teeball won 20 – 12
  • Girls Teeball won 12 – 11

Girls Cricket and Girls Hot Shots Tennis had a bye against St Bedes PS.

 

St Clements of Rome PS

  • Boys Cricket lost 130 – 104
  • Girls Cricket drew 62 – 62
  • Boys European Handball won 23 – 11
  • Girls European Handball won 13 – 11
  • Boys Hots Shots Tennis won 7 - 4
  • Girls Hot Shots Tennis won 7 - 4

Both Volleyball and Teeball teams had a bye against St Clements of Rome PS.

 

Our final two rounds are against Mont Albert PS on Friday 6th March and Balwyn North PS on Friday 13th March. Both fixtures are away and students will be travelling by bus.
