Responsible Pet Ownership

 ​Foundation students were excited when they heard that we would be visited by the Responsible Pet Ownership Education Program, and were even more excited when they found out we would also be visited by a furry helper.

The program links with our whole school topic Community. In Foundation we have been learning about people's families, sharing about pets and animals, finding out who can help us in the community and what to do if we need help.

Christine and her dog Summer explained to us how to safely pat a dog as well as what to do if we meet an angry dog. It was great information that will be helpful when we are out and about in our community.
