School Council Update

Hi All! Welcome back to school for 2023!

We hope the start of the school year has been smooth and enjoyable for everyone and we look forward to another successful year ahead. The Miners Rest Primary School Council met for the first time for 2023 on Monday evening. It was great to reflect on successes from 2022 and start to plan for where improvements can be made for the coming year. All current members of our School Council look forward to being able to assist the school community however we can, to ensure that every child at MRK-6 has every opportunity available to them and that the school as a whole is the best it can be. If you would like to be a part of this for 2023 and beyond, we encourage you to nominate to join the School Council. We meet Monday evenings, approximately twice per term. It’s a great way to meet new people, deepen your connection with the school and to have a say on things that matter and are important to your child, your family and our school. The nomination process and timeline are outlined on the Principal’s page, but simply pop into the school office and ask for a nomination form or more details if you require. If you would like more info on what being on school council involves or you have any questions or thoughts for the School Council to consider, please feel free to email me (address below).

Thanks!
