District Athletics

Students from Loch, Nyora and Poowong schools competed at the District Athletics representing our Karmai Cluster.  All students can be proud of their achievements and participation in the day's events.  

A special congratulations goes to Bianca Monson who received the Rick Walters medallion for the fastest female 1500m runner in all age groups on the day.

Cross Country Training

In preparation for the upcoming Division Cross Country at Stony Creek Racecourse on Thursday 7th June, students in Grades 3-6 will have the opportunity to train twice a week for the next six weeks with Mrs Spence.

 

Training is scheduled for every Monday and Thursday morning, starting on Monday 30th April and concluding on Thursday 7th June.

 

 

Students will run in the Loch Primary School grounds and surrounding areas. Students will start the route on school grounds and follow a course along Victoria Road, down Sunnyside Road and loop back again to school. At times, students will may also run a circuit of the Loch Memorial Reserve and return to school via Loch Village.

 

Training is scheduled for every Monday and Thursday morning for the next six weeks. Students are to arrive at school in sports uniform, ready for an 8.20am start. The running group will leave at 8.20am sharp and will not wait for late comers. 

 

Please ensure your child has eaten breakfast and brings a water bottle.  Older students may wish to bring a change of clothes and roll on deodorant.
