Bins in the hall

We are very sad to see that people are putting the wrong things in our clothes recycling and soft plastic recycling bins in the hall foyer. These bins are emptied by our wonderful parent and staff volunteers and it's not fair that our volunteers have to pick out all the rubbish that is thrown in there everyday. Please read the signs on the bins and be mindful of what you are putting in there.

Look at this photo of what we recently found inside the clothes recycling bin. There were paper plates, fruit scraps and leaking juice boxes This meant that some of the clothes were ruined and had to be thrown out.

Please cooperate with us to help make our school more sustainable by taking the time to put your rubbish in the right bin.

New bin posters

The children in the Green Team have recently made posters about what can go in each of our colour coded bins. These posters will be distributed to every class in the school. Hopefully this will help our teachers and students to throw their rubbish in the right bins.

Nurdles Competition

Just a reminder that our nurdle competition finishes on the 31st of May. You have one week to go! When you have collected all of your nurdles, please bring them to Miss Baxter's room anytime throughout the day. The winner will be announced at assembly on the 15th of June.

Our New Green Team Mascot

The students in the Green Team have been working hard to design a new mascot to represent the Green Team and sustainability at Kingswood.

We had a competition for the best mascot and the winner was...

Hollee Berenyi in 2F! Check out the leaf ninja she drew!

The Green Team is held every Wednesday lunchtime in Miss Baxter's room, any student from Prep to Year 6 can come to the Green Team and help make Kingswood a more sustainable place.
