Debating and Public Speaking Club

As 2021 draws to a close, the Debating & Public Speaking Club is celebrating our 2021 achievements and looking ahead to an even bigger and better 2022.  Student members of this Club have shown great dedication, effort and focus this year – despite some challenging circumstances.  They have all represented Auburn High School with great pride and purpose at our various competitions with other schools. 

Next year, we will be participating in even more external public speaking and debating competitions, in addition to our internal events. The Club offers Auburn High students a great opportunity to enhance their communication and critical thinking skills while collaboratively working in teams.  It is also a great co-curricular activity that allows students to make new connections and build confidence, and so we invite our incoming 2022 Year 7 students to consider this Club as an option.  Auburn students who didn’t get a chance to be part of this Club in 2021 are also encouraged to join next year. 

Thank you to all the students and families who supported this Club in 2021.  We appreciate the time and effort you have put in at our fortnightly meetings and various competitions.  I am personally excited to see this Club grow and thrive in 2022.
