3-4 Class
(Miss Sayhoune)
It is hard to believe that we are already in Week 7! The Grade 3/4 students have settled into a wonderful routine and are continuing to work hard towards achieving many of their learning goals.
In spelling, the students have become very confident at segmenting and sounding out their weekly words. It has been fantastic to see their enthusiasm and pride when completing their spelling tasks.
In writing, we are learning how to craft engaging introductions that hook the reader. Students are also finishing typing their “burger paragraphs” on the computer, which helps them structure their ideas clearly.
We are continuing to enjoy reading Matilda by Roald Dahl, using the text to explore vocabulary and grammar.
In Mathematics, we have been consolidating place value and partitioning numbers up to six digits, and this week we will begin learning about time. In Science, we are starting our unit on soils and will investigate the features of different soil types through an exciting experiment this week. 🌱

Congratulations to our Student of the Week!
5/3/26 - Jasper. G, for trying really hard (GRIT) on his segmenting and spelling. Also, for showing enthusiasm for learning when doing handwriting and completing it neatly.
5/3/26 - Levi, for showing enthusiasm and focus (GRIT) in his literacy learning. He has been participating in board time at the floor, and it is able to see in his work.
