Proposed Half-Day Stopwork Thursday May 28th

The AEU members at our school may be taking part in further industrial action this term, including half-day stopworks on a rolling, region-by-region basis. The morning of Thursday the 28th of May has been nominated for teachers in our area.

If this action goes ahead it would mean that morning classes would not run on Thursday 28th for classes whose teachers are participating. Students in those classes would arrive at school from 12:45pm, for roll marking, lunchtime and the afternoon session.

We will keep you posted when any updates become available and will confirm arrangements with you over the coming weeks via Compass.

Message from the Banyule City Council

Mercedes Court Reserve Playground Renewal is currently open for community consultation and we want to hear how local community use the playground and surrounding park, what you love about it and any ideas to make it better. We love to hear from both children and adults during engagement on playgrounds.

Participants can either take a survey or share a story by dropping a pin on a map, or both! Engagement is open until 17 May and this feedback will help us develop a draft playground concept, which will be shared with community for feedback in mid 2026.
