BREAKFAST CLUB – VOLUNTEER NEEDED

The Westbreen community want to take this opportunity to thank Ms Zoe very much for doing such a wonderful job coordinating the Breakfast Club over the past 12 months, supplying rumbling tummies with delicious food to start their days 😊 Unfortunately she is having to step away from this role due to other work commitments.  As a result of this we are looking for a member of our community who might be willing to take on this role.  If you have a child at school that likes to come to Breakfast Club then it may be an opportunity to share some of their school journey with them, we all know how much children love to have their parent spend time at their school.

The days could be negotiated to suit you, however the hours are approximately 7.45-9.00am, 3 days per week.  Duties include setting up, preparing the staple foods eg toast, cereals, flavoured milk etc and then other times a special of the day may include pancakes, crumpets, avo toast, sausages on toast, cheese toasties or whatever you like depending on how creative you want to get!  😊 I am happy to do the ordering of food through the organisations that are on board and Ms Bridget is happy to do the ordering of any extra items. I can also take over the admin tasks to make it easier as well, and of course our superstar ES ladies will be there to support you in the mornings and helping feed the hungry mob!

If this is something that you might be interested in or you have some further questions, please reach out.  It would be great if we can get someone on board asap.  If there is someone you can think of that you could share the role with then we are also open to unpacking that further.

A Working With Children Check would be required to perform this role.

I hope to hear from you soon

Ms Georgie

No Family Time this week....

Friendly reminder that there is no Family Time this week as it’s the final week—and final day—of Term 1.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for Family Time this term. We hope you’ve enjoyed all the different activities, the fun and chaos, the laughs, and the photos 📷😀

Another big THANK YOU to Atika and Rhoda for organising our weekly activities and keeping everything running so smoothly. And a special thank you to their very patient children—Eliot, Ilena, Ahmed, Tannah and Mimi—for helping with pack up and clean up each week 😊👏

Happy Easter and enjoy the holidays—we can’t wait to see you again for our first Family Time in Week 2 of Term 2!

Your Family Time family,

Atika, Rhoda & Miss Kerry 🥰

Last week’s Family Time was full of Easter arts and crafts, with some fabulous creations made 🐰🐣

VOLUNTEERS for our CANTEEN...

Miss Bridget is still looking for volunteers to help share the load of providing lunch and snacks for our community, especially on Friday’s.

Volunteers will need to have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) card and complete a 5-minute Induction Session with me before starting in the canteen. I am also more than happy to help you obtain your WWCC card if you need help. Go to Working with Children Check to apply for your WWCC card.

If you are interested in helping on 1, 2, or all 3 days the canteen is open, please contact me via Kerry.parfett@education.vic.gov.au or call on 03 9306 9481.
