Beanie 4 Brain Cancer
On the last Friday of Term 2 students wore their beanies to show support and raise awareness for those affected by brain cancer, a cause close to our hearts.

Brave the Shave
At lunchtime, students gathered in the Hall with a gold coin donation to watch their peers take part in ‘Brave the Shave’. Funds raised will support Ronald McDonald House and the incredible work they do in providing care and accommodation for families during some of life's most challenging times.
Thanks to the generosity of our College community, we raised enough to 92 nights of accommodation for families!
Thank you to staff and students who participated, donated and supported the day. A special thank you to Razor Lane Barbershop and Mrs Nicky O’Leary who generously donated their time and skills to the Mater Dei community.

NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich history, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The College community recently celebrated 50 years of NAIDOC and recognised five DEADLY decades of honouring the strength, resilience and enduring cultures of First Nations peoples.
On Monday 27 July, Year 7 students participated in a series of NAIDOC workshops hosted by Mr Jolley and Ms Shanahan. Thank you to our invited guests for sharing your knowledge and talents, helping make the day both meaningful and enjoyable for our students.
