Principal's Message

Dear Families,
Welcome to another edition of our newsletter. As of next week, we will hopefully be trialling a new platform for our fortnightly newsletter so stay tuned! Our new newsletter will be launched on our brand-new website. All schools in Catholic Education Sandhurst are undergoing a website upgrade and Our Lady's was one of the first to jump on board.
This last fortnight here at Our Lady's has been business as usual! It is so delightful walking through our school and watching the calm, focused classrooms with students learning each and every day. It is amazing to see students develop confidence in the classrooms with our dedicated staff supporting each and every learner to be successful.
Enrolments
Enrolments for 2027 are now open! If you have a Foundation student starting in 2027, get a jump on the paperwork now! Please check out the enrolment section of the newsletter for all the information you need to know.
Camp Updates
This edition of our newsletter holds two very special camp updates from our 5/6 & 3/4 classrooms. What a busy and productive start to the school year! Enjoy the read and all the adventures of our students. Here is a sneak peak of photos taken from the camps...for full photo updates, head to the reflection pages.
NAPLAN
Next week, beginning on Wednesday, our Grade 3 and Grade 5 students will participate in NAPLAN. Our teachers have been working diligently to prepare students, and as always, we aim to make the experience calm and supportive.
Throughout the school year, students engage in a wide range of assessments, and NAPLAN is simply one of these checkpoints. It provides another opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s classroom teacher.
Journey through Lent
As we continue our path during the Lenton season, we are invited once again into a sacred time of reflection, renewal, and preparation for the joy of Easter. Lent calls us to slow down, to listen deeply to God’s voice in our hearts, and to make space for grace to transform our lives.
Through prayer, we seek a closer relationship with God.
Through fasting, we learn to let go of what distracts us from love.
Through almsgiving, we open our hearts to the needs of others.
This season is not simply about giving something up - it is about growing in faith, hope, and charity. May each of us to walk more closely with Christ, to care for those around us, and to rediscover the beauty of God’s mercy.
Blessings,
Cassie
