PANCAKE TUESDAY
We were treated to a beautiful sunny day, which made our first official school event for 2026 even more enjoyable. The children absolutely loved their pancakes, with many saying they were the fluffiest they’d ever tasted! Smiles were everywhere as students happily tucked in and shared the fun with their friends. A big thank you to our wonderful parent helpers who generously gave their time on the day—your help made everything run so smoothly and helped create such a special experience for the children.
WELCOME BBQ – Tomorrow Friday 20 February
This is our inaugural COHR Welcome - Family BBQ. We invite families to join us from 4pm-6pm on the oval to catch up with old friends and hopefully have a chance to make some new ones.
We will be serving sausage sandwiches, cold drinks and icy poles.
As usual, we can’t run these events without some help from our parents. If you are able to assist with cooking on the BBQ and/or serving please reach out to Jess on 0415 320 220. Even 20-30 mins of help would be greatly appreciated.
It is expected to be a beautiful but hot afternoon. Please bring a hat and some sunscreen as there are limited shade options.
A final note that we expect the carpark to be very busy during this time. Please consider parking in nearby streets and walking over. Please also be mindful of the extra pedestrian traffic coming and going through the carpark at this time.
We look forward to seeing you there.
SUSHI DAY – Wednesday 18 March
With the success of last years first ever sushi day, we have decided to add it permanently to the schedule. Sushi days will alternate with the hotdog days to provide some variety for the children and offer a healthier alternative. Sushi days will run terms 1 & 4 and hot dog day will be terms 2 & 3.
Out first sushi day for the year will be Wednesday 18 March. Order forms will come home in the coming weeks with the option to pay in cash or CDF pay.
CLASS REPS
Every class at COHR has at least one parent Class Representative. We are asking parents to please volunteer for these roles. The Class Representative is very important to our school community. It provides support to the teachers and acts as a liaison between staff and parents in the school. This is particularly vital during a fete year as important information needs to be filtered back through to the families and classes. A signup sheet is now in the office.
AGM
Thank you so much to the parents who joined us for our AGM on Tuesday evening. There was lots of great discussion and many great ideas that were floated amongst the group. Its important to note just how much goes on behind the scenes for the activities we run and to make these successful we rely heavily on the support of the COHR community. If you would like to be involved we have some roles that require filling. Please reach out to Jess or the office if you would like to volunteer for one of the below vacant positions, or if you would like more information on what each role entails.
The below roles were confirmed last night:
President – Jess Brown (Jasper 5/6GN & Juke 1/2SP)
Vice President – Alicia Michael (Imogen 5/6GN)
Secretary – Vacant Role
Pastoral Care – Vacant Role
Money Coordinator – Vacant Role
NEW UNIFORMS
We are thrilled to share that the Parents Association has purchased a brand-new set of sports uniforms for the school, made possible through funds raised by the PA and our wonderful school community. These uniforms will be worn by our students at interschool sporting events when competing against other schools.
A VERY special thank you to Nicole (Henry 5/6GN, Patrick 3/4RG, Anthony 1/2B) who coordinated the entire process from the very beginning. From the initial concept and design through to ordering and liaising with suppliers, Nicole’s dedication and hard work ensured we received such a premium product.
The uniforms are proudly branded with our school logo, helping to elevate our school profile and create a strong sense of pride and belonging when we compete. They will be used across netball, soccer, cross country & basketball , giving our students a professional and unified look.
Thank you to our families who contribute to each fundraising event we hold—your support has helped provide something truly special for our students.
