Photo of Stella & Chloe standing proudly in front of their artwork at Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery. Chloe with her grandparents. We are very proud of their achievements in being selected to display at the Little Archibalds.
Collecting unwanted mobile devices such as phones and ipads for Melbourne Zoo.
These devices will be recycled to lessen the need to mine for minerals near the gorilla habitat. Any funds raised from the recycled devices will be used to fund a Gorilla Vet group in the mine area. They monitor the gorillas and provide vaccination against diseases which come from the people working at the mines. The collection box is located outside the school office.
As part of our Sustainability program we have interested senior students who would like to put on a Trash to Fash parade. We are looking for donations of good quality clothing that would normally go to an Op Shop. Only 18 % of clothes at Op Shops are resold.
We are trying to inspire students to repair and upcycle clothing rather than succumb to buying lots of unsustainable clothing. Students in art lessons are learning how to sew simple stitches and how to sew on a button. Basic but essential skills for life. If you have any clothes that are fit for repurpose please donate them to the art room.
If you have any questions about any of the above inforamton please dont hesitate to contact me via email. Thank you.
