This term students are exploring 'Creativity and Innovation' as our big idea. They are exploring the process of turning their ideas into designs, then into reality! Some projects include building structures (Prep), toys and games (Years 1 to 4) and garden design (5/6), with other smaller projects in the works too. Please feel free to ask your child's teacher if they need any resources to continue their epic projects!
The design process is also a great way for students to take risks, try and fail and try again. The 'Learning Pit' is a way that students learn how to undertake this process with a growth mindset. Who knows where this kind of thinking could take our students in the future
Our inquiry is founded on the Catholic Social Teachings of 'Solidarity' 'Subsidiarity and 'Participation', and how ideas can bring people together and help them. To learn more about these teachings please visit www.caritas.org.au
Last term Y3-6 students were invited to take part in the Australian Mathematics Competition. Well done to all participants, with special congratulations to Ned C. who achieved a high distinction and 'Best in school'. What an achievement!
