Puffing Billy

The Grade 2's had an amazing time on their excursion to Puffing Billy on Wednesday 28th May! They learned all about the history of trains and the Emerald-Belgrave area at the new Education Centre. Students explored Emerald Lake Park, enjoyed meeting all the volunteers and rode the awesome steam train. Despite a predicted wet and cold day, the weather proved in our favour leading to an amazing day and an unforgettable experience.

Patch - Victorian Schools Mountain Bike Championships

On Sunday 18th May Patch rode Round 1 of the Victorian Schools Mountain Bike Championships in Dromana, representing Ringwood North Primary. He came first in the under 13 boys racing category!  Next round is June 22 at Lysterfield.

If you might be interested in having a go there are 2 categories (one for serious competitive riders and one for novice riders) Here is the link to check it out https://auscycling.org.au/event-hub/state-and-territory-series/vic-mountain-bike-schools-series

Well done Patch, we look forward to hearing what you achieve next.

Josiah - U12 SSV Rugby League Squad

Josiah has made the U12 SSV Rugby League Squad as an Emergency player.  145 kids trialled for one of the 17 positions available.  This is an exceptional effort to make the team.

As an Emergency player, Josiah will train with the squad, has a uniform and also needs to be prepared to travel to Queensland for the week long tournament, if someone should have to withdraw from the team.

Congratulations Josiah for your perseverance and determination to achieve a goal like this.
