APF State Council Elections

Every three years, members of the APF have the opportunity to participate in the democratic process of electing representatives to them Victorian State Council. These elections are a vital part of ensuring that your voice, and the collective voice of school leaders across Victoria, is strongly represented in the governance and advocacy work of the APF.

Several vacancies exist on the State Council and across several regions with members encouraged to consider nominating. Serving on the Council is an opportunity to shape the direction of the Federation, influence key policy and industrial matters, and ensure that the experiences and concerns of school leaders are front and centre in all of our work.

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) has sent formal notifications directly to members with details on the election process. If you are interested in exploring the possibility of nominating, we strongly encourage you to reach out to the APF office. We are happy to have a confidential chat to discuss what being on State Council involves and to answer any questions you may have.

Your involvement strengthens the Federation and ensures our advocacy continues to be led by school leaders, for school leaders.
