Annual House Sports
Last Friday, 7th November, all SPS students participated in the annual House Sports competition. Students, in their house teams (divided into F-3 and 4-6 age groups), participated in a circuit of activities throughout the morning to earn points for their house. Activities included - amongst other events - long jump, shot put, hurdles, hockey dribbling, basketball shooting and cricket, and allowed students to challenge themselves with new or different skills.
The 5/6 Student Leaders very confidently and capably lead the events, explaining and demonstrating the activities to each group and encouraging the younger students. When the teams had participated in all activities, the points earnt in each event were calculated to determine the winning house. It was then announced at the conclusion of the morning that Flinders house had won the day. Congratulations Flinders!
The points earnt by each house at the House Sports will be added to their points aggregate earnt across the year, and the 2025 winning house will be announced at the end of the year.
Many thanks to Mrs Holdsworth, Mr Purdon and Mrs Fox for organising and coordinating the day.
