Student Leadership

On Tuesday the 28th of May, EMC proudly hosted its Annual Young Leaders Network, welcoming Class Captains from years 7-9 and counterparts from Langwarrin Primary, Woodlands, and Langwarrin Park Primary. Over 125 students, brimming with enthusiasm, commenced the day with a heartfelt Acknowledgement of Country led by EMC Koorie Students, followed by an opening address from Principal Dean King.

The day unfolded with students immersing themselves in four dynamic workshops, each revolving around the essence of leadership. Notably, plans for the upcoming Langwarrin's Got Talent event, slated for Term 4, took shape amidst the buzzing energy.

In homage to Reconciliation Week, all participants solemnly gathered for the Flag Raising ceremony, leaving everyone spellbound with its profound significance. As the day drew to a close, a riveting Q&A session with our Senior Captains ensued, where they fielded thought-provoking queries from our esteemed Primary School Leaders.

Special accolades are extended to Jack (PAC Captain), Cayden (Music Captain), and Tara (Vice School Captain) for their unwavering commitment in orchestrating, instructing, and actively engaging with the student body throughout the day. A heartfelt appreciation also goes out to Jorja (School Captain) and Eli (Vice School Captain) for their invaluable contributions during the insightful Q&A session. Finally a massive thank you to JJ and Luca for all their media work around the day.

The Annual Young Leaders Network stands as a testament to EMC's dedication towards nurturing and empowering the next generation of leaders, fostering collaboration, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
