COATS & JACKETS NEEDED
The SRT are collecting coats to donate to the homeless and those in need.
With chilly weather continuing into September and October, it would be great if people had a look in cupboards to donate any jackets or coats that may not fit anymore - Adults and children's coats are welcome.
Next Monday 24th of August will be the cut off day we will be accepting coat donations.
Many Thanks on behalf of the SRT.
Bullying; No Way Week: Small Acts-Big Impact
Next week, each class will add to their Wellbeing lessons with content about how small actions – like including someone, speaking up or showing kindness – can creat change.
The Bullying:no wayorganisation believe that in schools and communities, the goal is to build environments where everyone belongs, diversity is celebrated and bullying is never accepted.
The campaign states: Imagine what we can achieve if we all commit to looking out for one another, speaking up when things go wrong, and making kindness the norm.
Here is a video, created by Bullying: No Way that explains how families can help their child through building positive relationships with others.
E-Safety Webinars
There are some really great webinars on offer this term from the E-Safety Commisioner for parents, carers and teachers that I highly recommend - and the best thing is that they are FREE - all it takes is 45 minutes of your time.
These webinars cover the changing space that our young people may need support with in navigating the use of mobile phones, ipads and computers and how parents and carers can assist them.
Topics this term are wide ranging and cover a variety of age groups and things for parents and carers to consider. Screen time, cyberbullying and the ways children can be vulnerable online too are all covered...along with topics for secondary students.
If you can't make a live webinar, there are some great resources on their website which is constantly being updated. and worth checking out :https://www.esafety.gov.au/parents/resources
Take Care,
Kate
