Dear Families,
Another enchanting week of learning has come and gone, and it is hard to believe that we are already halfway through the term! Thank you so much to those who have donated flowers and leaves for our Discovery Area. I truly appreciate your generosity, and I know these donations will enrich the children’s play, creativity and learning experiences.
The florist is now open! 🌸💐 This has been very exciting for the children. I have taken some photos of our florist station, where the donated flowers have been put to wonderful use, and I’m excited to share these with you.
I have also attached some photos of our Indoor Plant Station, where the children planted and created their own little plant displays for our Discovery Area. This experience is connected to our Inquiry unit, “Paddock to Plate,” where we are learning about plants, what they need to grow and how they help provide food for us. There are more Discovery Stations and hands-on experiences to come, and I am so excited and delighted to share these learning opportunities with the children as the term rolls on. Please stay tuned! 🌱
Once again, thank you for your ongoing support and generosity. These experiences are made even more memorable because you send your wonderful children to school each day ready to learn, explore, create and discover.
Thank you! 💚
Terri 🌸🌱

HELLO Families,
What another fabulous fun filled week in our class! This week we were busy preparing for our school assembly. At the assembly we showed off our class talents in computers, singing/dancing, learning and making good choices. Congratulations go to the whole class for their wonderful presentation, it looked awesome! Our latest award recipients, Zach and Scarlett. For our Inquiry unit ''Paddock to Plate' our garden bed outside is starting to look full with the both the fruit (strawberries) and vegetables (lettuce) growing quite fast. Thank You families for attending our school events and the tremendous support behind your child's learning. Let's head into a lovely weekend with this quote “Together we rise, each challenge met with love and strength.”
Year 3/4 AL
Hello Families,
We started off week 5 off by braving the weather on our excursion to Ceres. As students discovered about the earth’s ecosystems, what makes a desirable habitat for life and delved deep into the water cycle, they participated with enthusiasm and curiosity. We did lots of walking, exploring and investigating throughout the day. Please enjoy some photos of our experience.
The second half of the term 3 is looking to be very busy with events such as Science Week and Book Week. On Monday as a class we will also participate the Bullying, No way online webinar, as part of Bullying No Way week, with this years theme SMALL ACTS, BIG IMPACT.
Wishing you a lovely weekend,
Abby and Lauren

Hello Families,
Week 5 began with our excursion to CERES, where the weather certainly kept us on our toes! Throughout the day, students explored ecosystems, investigated what living things need for their habitats and developed their understanding of the water cycle. There was plenty of walking, observing, questioning and discovering along the way. We hope you enjoy seeing some photos from our day found below. Super big thank you to the parent helpers who came along and helped out for the day as well as all the staff that helped on the day and in the lead up! It definitely was a memorable and fun day for all.
The remainder of Term 3 is shaping up to be an exciting and busy few weeks, with Science Week in Week 6 and Book Week coming up in Week 7.
On Monday, our class , alongside 3/4AL, will take part in the Bullying No Way online webinar as part of Bullying No Way Week. This year’s theme, Small Acts, Big Impact, will encourage students to consider how everyday actions can help create a safe, respectful and inclusive school community.
Thanks for our going support and collaboration, have a beautiful and restful weekend!

Year 5/6J
Hi Families,
This term we have been reading the novel 'Once' by Morris Gleitzman. It follows Felix, a 10 year old Jewish boy hiding in a Catholic orphanage, who escapes to find his bookseller parents, slowly realizing the brutal reality of the Holocaust through a child's innocent perspective.
Students have been working in small groups unpacking each chapter by having valuable discussions of their questions, predictions, understandings and new insight from the next.
Here is what some of 5/6 think of our book 'Once' so far!
Kaitlyn- "So far the book is really interesting and the plot is making me want to read more".
Cody- "It is based on a true story and in my opinion I think it is very interesting. You want to see what happens next".
Massie- "So far the book is showing actions that make want to read the book all at once".
Olivia- "It feels adventurous, very deep and a bit dark".
Year 5/6M
Layla and Victoria: On Thursday 6th of August, we had an Art Show and we saw so much wonderful art work! There was a raffle and the Choir sang ‘A million Dreams’. There was a pamphlet that each of us had where there were clues in different pieces of art work. We all had so much fun and everyone loved the artwork. After the show, we all played outside and chattered about the art!
Lawrence and Shamus: The Art Show was really cool. Our favourite part was our own ‘Jean-ious Creations’ because it was interesting how you could recycle old stuff into new stuff. We did this for our Inquiry. It was fun exploring all the different creations of other people.
Chloe: The Art Show was really fun! It was fun because there was a Treasure Hunt. Everyone was 100 keen for the clues. The art was really beautiful. Each person made and had a few pieces of art on display. It was a good way to share our art talent and spend time together.
Amy: I had a lot of fun when my friends and I were singing together for the Art Show. My family said that they all enjoyed the Art Show and they took lots of photos. My favourite was when I saw all the things that my class made from denim jeans. I also loved the Lava Lamps that the year 3/4s made. The Choir also sang a song at the beginning called ‘A million Dreams’. Then we all looked at all the art that the classes had done.
