Last week, KG were listening and performing to ‘The Kangaroo’ from ‘The Carnival of The Animals’ by Saint- Saens.

Children used movement, drama and score reading to respond to what they heard. They are also learnt to read music and play their given note in time to the music, as seen in the middle photo. Children aurally identified the tone colour of the piano and the correct given pitch while they were playing.

KG also had the opportunity to understand the characteristics and habitat of our Australian native animal.
