We are excited to announce that our Athletics Carnival is coming up in Week 9, where we will be joining another P–12 school for a fantastic day of competition and fun!

Students will have the opportunity to compete in a range of events, including long jump, triple jump, hurdles, discus, shot put, high jump, 100m sprint and 200m sprint, with the possibility of a long-distance event. There will also be relay races for students to get involved in.

Students will compete in age groups rather than by grade. If you have any concerns or believe your child may be in the incorrect age group, please speak with Brae Young (PE).

Event Dates:

• Wednesday 9 September (Week 9): Grades 3 & 4
• Thursday 10 September (Week 9): Grades 5 & 6

We encourage all students to participate in as many events as they can. It will be a great opportunity to challenge themselves, try new events, support their teammates and, most importantly, have a fantastic day!

We will also have FCJ students assisting with the running of the events, along with our wonderful parent volunteers, who will help ensure the days run smoothly and safely.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone get involved, have a go and give it their best! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏅

Melbourne Stars Visit

We have the exciting opportunity to welcome some of the Melbourne Stars players to our school on Monday 7th September! ⭐🏏

The players will be visiting to work with students from Years 3–6, with some classes getting the chance to take part in a session with them.

Unfortunately, not every class will have a session this term, but fear not! Those who miss out this time will have another opportunity to work with the Melbourne Stars players at the beginning of Term 4.

We’re very excited to have them visit and can’t wait to see our students getting involved!
