A Fantastic Science Week!

What a fantastic Science Week we had last week. The students embraced the theme Seeds of Science – Nurturing Knowledge for All with enthusiasm, curiosity and plenty of hands-on exploration.

Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to investigate, experiment, ask questions and discover the science all around them. From classroom activities to our Nature Photo Competition, it was wonderful to see students sharing their ideas, making observations and thinking like scientists.

A particular highlight was welcoming our Kinder students to school for a special Science Week activity. It was fantastic to see our youngest scientists getting involved, exploring the activity and sharing their excitement and curiosity with our primary students. Their visit created a wonderful opportunity for our older students to support and encourage our future scientists.

Our Nature Photo Competition has also been a huge success, with around 300 photos submitted across our different categories. There are plenty of amazing images to look through, and judging will be no easy task.

We will spend the coming weeks carefully looking through all of the entries, with the competition winners to be announced at the beginning of Term 4. A huge thank you to everyone who entered and shared their wonderful snapshots of the natural world.

Thank you to our STEM captains Ava and Arham for their input into organising Science Week and their assistance in running the activities during the week. It has been wonderful to see so much curiosity, creativity, collaboration and discovery throughout the school.

We hope Science Week has inspired our students to keep asking questions, investigating the world around them and discovering that science is everywhere.
