November 2026
2 - DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS (Day of the Dead)
Celebrated in Mexico and other Latin American countries, it's a multi-day holiday honoring deceased loved ones.
11 - REMEMBRANCE DAY
A day when we acknowledge those who died or suffered while serving in wars, conflicts and peace operations. Remembrance Day is held on 11 November each year. This is the anniversary of the Armistice of 1918 that ended fighting in World War I. People in Australia and many other countries observe one minute's silence at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month because that's when the Armistice came into effect.
13 - WORLD KINDNESS DAY
World Kindness Day is an international observance held every year on November 13 to promote global compassion, community good deeds, and human connection.
19 - INTERNATIONAL MEN’S DAY
International Men’s Day is celebrated every year on November 19. It is a special day to celebrate the good things men and boys do, and to talk openly about the health and life challenges they face.
30 - FIRST DAY OF ADVENT
On the first Sunday of Advent, the Advent season begins. In 2025, Advent begins on November 30. Between then and Christmas Eve, many families spend time preparing the house for Christmas day while also racing to finish the Christmas shopping.
The meaning of the word Advent comes from the Latin Ad (to) and Venire (come) and translates as arrival. In this sense, Advent is the period of time when Christians wait for the arrival of Jesus who, according to tradition and custom, was born on Christmas day.
