Games donations needed

We are currently seeking donations of games to support our students’ learning and social activities. Board games, card games, puzzles, and other age-appropriate games are all warmly welcomed!

These resources help build collaboration, problem-solving skills, and provide valuable opportunities for connection and wellbeing.

If you have any gently used games in good condition that you are happy to donate, please send them in with your child or drop them off at the office.

Thank you for your support in enriching our students’ experiences!

AUSTRALIAN MATHEMATICS COMPETITION

On Tuesday, 4th August, we will be running the Australian Maths Competition during periods 1 & 2 for any year 7 to 10 students who wish to participate.

The Australian Maths Competition is the longest running and largest Maths competition in Australia. It is open to all schools in every state and territory and is a well-known and prestigious competition.

It provides unique problems to challenge and extend students problem-solving skills.

The event is now open on Compass and costs $9.30. It is run under test conditions and takes 75 minutes. It comprises of 30 questions. Of the 30 questions, 25 are multiple choice questions and 5 require a numerical answer.

It is NOT compulsory event however; we encourage students to enter and have a go at this opportunity. Maths staff will provide past papers and support.

Even though it is not a compulsory event, we do expect the year 9 ACE students and year 10 Advanced students to enter.

Payment and consent need to be completed by 28th July

"National Reconciliation Week Celebration

This June, Epping Secondary College will be recognising National Reconciliation Week with a lunchtime celebration for students and staff. The event will provide an opportunity for our school community to come together to acknowledge and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and contributions.

Students will have the chance to participate in a range of activities focused on connection, learning, and community. As a school, we are proud to continue promoting respect, understanding, and reconciliation through meaningful student engagement and cultural awareness initiatives."
