Green Magpies and Green Gurruks
Work has started on the outdoor learning centre. Grades have submitted suggestions for a new 'catchy' name for the space, this will be announced at our next assembly.
The Vege Pods and the outdoor classroom are in the construction phase! It's so exciting.
The Green Magpie Team of students and staff have been busy looking over all the amazing applications from our Grade 3, 4, 5 and 6 students. We are incredibly impressed with the passion, enthusiasm and dedicated students we have here at Epsom! We are terribly disappointed to not be able to accept all students...we only have TEN SPOTS!
Having received over THIRTY FIVE applications...we have a
very, VERY tough job ahead of us.
Announcements will be made at our next school assembly.
A note for Green Magpie families - please see the Compass notification regarding details and permission to be a part of something exciting!
THANK YOU to the families who have sent along some small plants and washed out coffee cups for this future project. See below for the details.
We are in the very early stages of planning an exciting new project that will contribute to a sustainable future... as well as raise money to support environmental charities. We will share more as we develop the details with our 2024 Green Magpie student team, but as a starting point, we are asking for donations:
~ Succulents or hardy plants from our families and community
~ Used coffee cups, preferably tall/large sizes, washed out and in good condition
We will collect them in a container that will be placed outside the office each morning, with this sign.
