SRC Pyjama Day

This week the (SRC) Student Representative Council hosted a Pyjama Day at school. All the students and staff wore their favourite pj’s, oodies, gowns and slippers! It was the perfect weather to be all snuggled up at school and feel toasty warm.

The students brought in a gold coin donation and we raised a total of $140.05 for Tony's Cafe. Our year 5/6 SRC Leaders, Esha and Lukas gave the money to Tony’s Cafe when some of the students from the senior class went to help out today with the lunchtime tasks.

Tony's Cafe is a community outreach program run by St. Anthony's Parish that provides free meals to those in need. They aim to serve people from diverse backgrounds, including families and international students, seniors and those experiencing financial hardship. Our Year 5/6 students volunteer their time on a Tuesday to help in the community.

The volunteers at Tony’s Cafe were blown away by our kindness and generosity. All the money will go towards providing meals and food for people that are not as fortunate as all of us.

The students were lucky enough to have a movie and popcorn in the afternoon as our end of term celebration.

We are looking forward to our next event in Term Three so keep watching this space!
