Board of Governors Update

This year, the Board has been pleased to finalise the Strategic Review of the School and endorse the Strategic Plan—an outward-facing document designed to guide future planning in the years ahead.

The Strategic Plan will be central to the Board’s decision-making and will also serve as a tool for measuring performance. It will be supported by a detailed Business Plan, developed around each pillar of the Strategic Plan.

In addition, the Board has endorsed a Master Plan for the Argyle Street campus, including the Argyle Street Motor Lodge property. This plan provides clarity on the long-term direction for the site and will inform future decisions regarding improvements.

The Board has also continued to monitor the implementation of the revised campus structures as they enter their second year.

As part of its ongoing responsibilities, the Board has maintained a strong focus on risk management. This has included regular reviews of the overarching risk register, internal audits in key areas, benchmarking governance against best practice, and ensuring cyber security remains a priority.

Finally, we are delighted to welcome new Board members, Duncan Frewin and Emily Chapman-Searle, and we extend our sincere thanks and best wishes to Bruce Henry and Mary Beadle for their dedicated service.
