Humour is a powerful tool, and funny stories can make a difference in the lives of teenagers. Funny stories can help students learn to cope with difficult situations and emotions. When we laugh dopamine is released in the brain helping us remember things and release stress. The humour section in the library has a variety of books that appeal to our students by authors such as Anh Do, Andy Griffiths, Roald Dahl and David Walliams. As you probably know Walliams is a famous English actor, comedian and writer. Walliams books are known for their outrageous humour, but they also deal with important topics like being yourself and having courage. He believes that often a good story can be funny and sad at the same time.
