Industrial Action – Thursday 23 July 2026
The Australian Education Union (AEU) has scheduled a full-day stop work action for Thursday 23 July 2026.
Depending on the number of teaching staff participating, this may affect specific year levels or the operation of the entire school. As a result, some students may continue with their usual program, some classes may operate in a modified format, or particular year levels may not be required to attend school. If all teaching staff participate in the stop work action, the school may need to close for the day.
We are required to confirm arrangements with families by 2:00 pm on Wednesday, 22 July. We will provide further information as soon as possible once these arrangements have been finalised.
As parent/carer-teacher conferences are also scheduled for this day, we will aim to communicate with families about these arrangements later this afternoon, or by Monday morning at the latest.
Annual Report to the School Community
Parents and carers are warmly invited to attend our School Community Forum on Friday, 31 July, immediately following the school assembly, from approximately 3:05 pm to 3:30 pm.
This forum provides an opportunity to share an overview of our 2025 Annual Report, including key information about student learning and progress, our school improvement priorities, and the achievements of the past year.
The session will include:

Highlights of our key actions and achievements over the past 12 months
A snapshot of school performance and student learning data
An opportunity for parents and carers to ask questions and provide feedback

Prep 101 Days of School
This morning, our adorable little Dalmatians celebrated a very special milestone-101 days of school!
Our Prep students transformed into a delightful pack of spotted pups, filling the school with wagging tails, floppy ears, and plenty of smiles. Fortunately, there was only a brief sighting of Cruella and Horace. Thankfully, they didn't stay long, and all of our precious pups remained safe!
Over the past 101 days, our Prep students have grown in confidence, curiosity, independence, and friendships. It was wonderful to see their excitement and pride as they celebrated this special milestone together.
A big thank you to our families for embracing the fun and helping our little Dalmatians look the part. Congratulations to our Prep students on reaching 101 fantastic days of learning-we can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store!
Whole School Writer's Festival -'Tell Me a Story'
This term, every class will be working towards creating a special piece of writing to showcase at our annual Writer's Festival, celebrating the creativity, growth and achievements of all our young authors.
We are excited to invite families to join us for our Writer's Festival on Thursday 27 August 2026 (Week 7) from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
This year's theme is "Tell Me a Story", with students exploring a range of writing genres including narratives, information reports, persuasive writing and poetry. Their work will be published in a variety of engaging formats, including handmade books, advertisements and other creative displays.
The afternoon will run as follows:
3:00 pm – 3:30 pm: Parents and carers are invited to visit their child's classroom to view and celebrate their writing.
3:30 pm – 4:30 pm: Families are welcome to explore classrooms across the school to see the writing journey and published work from students in every year level.
Our Writer's Festival is about celebrating the entire writing process, not just the finished product. Displays will highlight the planning, drafting, revising, editing and publishing stages, giving visitors an insight into how ideas develop into polished pieces of writing.
We look forward to sharing this wonderful celebration of storytelling and welcoming our families to experience the incredible writing taking place throughout our school.
