NAIDOC Week will be celebrated across Australia from 5–12 July 2026.

This year's theme, "50 Years of Deadly", marks a significant milestone, celebrating 50 years of recognising and honouring the strength, resilience, achievements and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. The theme acknowledges the Elders, leaders, artists and communities who have helped shape the NAIDOC movement over the past five decades.

As NAIDOC Week falls during the school holidays, all classes at Weeden Heights Primary School will celebrate upon their return in Term 3 by participating in learning activities that deepen students' understanding and appreciation of First Nations cultures, histories and perspectives.
